Background
Dr. Patel is a proud graduate from the University of Connecticut in 2007. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in 2012. Following Medical School, he completed a five year Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Drexel University College of Medicine & Hahnemann Hospital.
He provides surgical & non-surgical treatment of knee, hip, & shoulder, specializing in arthroscopic or minimally invasive surgery as well as total joint replacement. He focuses on Sports-Related Injuries, Cartilage Restoration, Fracture Care, Osteoarthritis, and Joint Replacement.
Dr. Patel completed a Fellowship in Sports Medicine, at Rothman Institute at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He acted as Assistant Team Physician for the Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia 76’ers, Philadelphia Flyers, as well as Villanova & St. Joe’s University. He is on staff at William Backus Hospital and Constitutional Surgery Center.
He is the head team physician at Connecticut College, Montville High School, Ledyard High School, and St. Thomas Moore School.
