Background

Dr. Anbari graduated from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA where he excelled in his studies and received the prestigious John W. Lachman Award in Orthopedic Surgery. He received his training in Orthopedic Surgery at Temple University Hospital. He distinguished himself in scientific research and published multiple manuscripts. He also received the first place research award from the Philadelphia Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Anbari completed a subspecialty fellowship in Sports Medicine, Shoulder Reconstruction and Cartilage Restoration at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. There, he acted as an assistant team physician for the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Bulls. He has authored over 15 book chapters and research papers on shoulder and knee arthroscopy and cartilage transplantation. Dr. Anbari has special training in the latest techniques of shoulder, hip and knee arthroscopy, ligament and tendon reconstruction and repair, cartilage restoration and shoulder replacement. He is the team physician for the WNBA CT SunNew England Black Wolves, CT Storm,   Norwich Free Academy, Bacon Academy, Montville High School , Lyman Memorial, Ledyard High School, and UCONN-Avery Point.

David Farrington, PA-C

David Farrington is a native of New York and served in United States Air Force and the New York Air National Guard. Upon leaving the military he received his Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology in 1995 from Westchester Community College, Valhalla, NY. He went on to receive his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Medical Biology in 1997 from the CW Post Campus of Long Island University, Brookville, NY and his Physician Assistant Certificate in 1999 from Cornell University Medical College, Manhattan, NY.

David has been in the clinical practice of Orthopedics since graduation and currently works with Ammar Anbari, MD in the office and in surgery. David Farrington is a Physician’s Assistant, who has worked in Orthopedics for most of his career. Sports medicine including hip arthroscopies are something he enjoys, along with Dr. Anbari. David is married and has four children. He spends time coaching his children’s sports teams and enjoys the outdoors.
