Dr. Wei
Dr. Wei received his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He received the Stanley Chung Award for Excellence in Research, 1999 from Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Division of Orthopedic Surgery. He received the Henry Meyerding MD Annual Essay Award, 2nd place, 1999 from the American Fracture Association. He is a fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
Dr. Wei is board certified in orthopedic surgery and subspecialty board certified in sports medicine. He has presented on his knee and shoulder research at the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery and his ACL research was cited in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery Newsletter.
Dr. Wei is the team physician for Mitchell College, East Lyme High School, Fitch High School and Waterford High School.
He has previously been the team MD for Connecticut College, Avery Point, The Coast Guard Academy, The Mystic Schooners and The Mohegan Wolves.
Dr. Wei was awarded Top Doctor by Connecticut Magazine along with Reader’s Choice Award by The Day in the Medical Specialist Category.
