Amy Anderson has been A Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) for 15 years and also an Occupational Therapist for 25 years. A CHT needs to complete 4,000 hours or more in direct practice in hand therapy and Amy was required a minimum of five years of clinical experience when she became a CHT in 2007. A CHT also must successfully pass a comprehensive test of advanced clinical skills and theory in shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand rehabilitation. Every CHT is required to demonstrate continued professional development and competency by recertifying every five years.
Amy has special interests in wound care, tendon injury, fracture care, wholistic health and custom elbow, wrist and hand orthotics (splints). Amy resides in eastern CT with her husband and 2 sons and enjoys cooking and the outdoors in her free time.
